Life lately

6/24/16

Well so far summer has been a bit of a drag. Besides still having birthday BBQ's, Father's Day and a few other things we managed to get them all in before our ENTIRE family got sick! Dylan got hit first with a nasty virus just before school was out, he got better and enjoyed his last day of school, but then a few days later Haylee got it. She had an ear infection that then caused her eyes to get really goopy and red. So the second time to the doctor we finally got her on antibiotics, and within a week she got better.  Well sure enough Greg was next. He got a nasty cough and felt like crap! Just when I thought I was off the hook, I got the same thing Greg did and just finally getting over it. I guess on a happy note at least I stayed healthy to get my family better. So between all of us it's almost been a month of trying to stay healthy! I am praying it stays that way and move on to a fun and happy summer....

In the mean time I decided not to put Dylan in summer school to give him a little break. We still have our regular therapy and ABA at home, but wanted to have a little more free time for swim lessons, and getting to enjoy the pools, beaches and fun time hanging with our friends. We have a church camp next week and Dylan is enrolled, and I am volunteering. I am really excited about it. We are coming up on Dylan's 4th birthday (Sunday) and have a special day planned. I still can't believe my sweet boy is going to be four. He is doing so awesome! He amazes us everyday and is growing in so many areas of his life. We just finally finished most of our landscaping and have lived at Lowe's the past month. The house is finally coming along, and it makes me so happy!

For my sweet Haylee she is coming up on 21 months, and is sweet, feisty, independent and most of all the most caring sister. Haylee is growing up so fast, and it's so different for Greg and I. She loves her ipad, her bottle, the park and asks for it all the time. She is a ball of energy. The bond these two have makes me smile everyday! They are so fun to be around and there relationship grows stronger and stronger everyday! This is what my whole heart envisioned when Dylan was born. I wanted nothing but the best for his future, but to always be loved by his friends and especially his brother's and sister's, and family! God has done just that. We are finally moving forward with potty training for Dylan and he is doing awesome. He loves to play with his ipad, be outdoors and is loving every minute of the pool and water. I should actually say both of them are. So I am sure our summer will be well spent in the pool...

Life has been pretty crazy lately, but what isn't? Its the juggling of daily tasks, jobs, school, kids, marriage, family, friends, bills, etc. But you always get through it. We have our busy times and our down times. I have come to realize that life is too short and we just need to stop and breath sometimes and enjoy every moment. Everything always works out the way it is supposed to. On the flip side we have a vacation coming up and I am so excited to get away and spend time with my family making amazing memories! I love my family so much and thank God everyday for our blessings that he has given us.
