We took the kids to an Easter event near our house that had lots of fun games, train rides, Easter egg hunt and of course a meet and greet with the Easter bunny. Both kids were not quite sure of the bunny this year, but they warmed up to him and we got some cute pictures. Greg and I hosted Easter for the first time and it turned out nice. It was small but perfect! Easter morning we went to church with our family, Haylee helped me decorate cupcakes, and the kids got to open there gifts from the Easter bunny.I love spending time with our family and of course when there is good food involved its even better! Greg cooked an amazing Rib-Eye and chicken, we did a cute little egg hunt for the kids and enjoyed some good wine! As much as I don't want my kids to grow up, its been really nice to have them start to enjoy all the fun things that I remember as a kid.....Happy Easter!

Well a little late then never, but Easter was one of my favorite holidays this year with the kids. I tried to fit a lot of Easter activities in, but of course only got a few in. Its been a busy time of year so far and I am looking forward to summer and lots of free time!

One thing that I do love the most about being able to be home with my babies is getting the time to go on school field trips with Dylan's school and his class. And what I love even more about it is that Haylee gets to join in on the fun! This last week we took the day and drove up to the little Irvine zoo. All the kids took the bus, but Haylee and I met them there. We ended up getting there a little earlier so we explored the beautiful park and even went in a little earlier. I had never been to this zoo, but heard so many great things about it. It was defiantly smaller then all the big ones, but in my opinion it was perfect for the ages of the kids.
We spent about an hour in the zoo looking at all the animals. The kids faces were priceless. They loved it so much and were pretty much all over the place...HA! After the zoo we enjoyed a picnic in the park and spent some free time playing with bubbles and enjoying the beautiful weather!

We have A Bus Rider
About a month ago I finally asked Greg if Dylan could take the bus home.? Ever since Dylan started school when he was three the bus was always offered to us, but we never thought much about it as I really enjoyed taking him and picking him up from school. As things got busier and schedules changed we decided to let Dylan take the bus home from school.. I was a little nervous, but felt ok since he was a little older now. The first day he got to take it home I still drove to school as I would be picking him up, but to help him on his bus. I have never seen the kid SO excited, but mommy was full of tears. Just one of those moments that you feel another step of getting older. He is loving every minute of it and there have been days when I need to pick him up for a doctors apt he actually still wants to get on it. Bus drop off has become Haylee's favorite part of her day as well as mine. I am so thankful for all our amazing bus drivers and keep our babies safe!

Well a little behind on the blogging as life has been pretty busy for us. I always love these little "hallmark" holidays that we get to have. They have always been my favorite growing up as a little girl. My dad always got flowers for us, and my mom would make us the cutest little valentine bags. It was always something we looked forward to waking up in the morning. I love to carry these traditions on for my babies and do fun things they will remember when they get older....
One of my other favorite parts about these fun little holidays, is Dylan's school always puts on the cutest little and own valentine dance. They decorate the school hall with balloons, hearts and play lots of fun music and dance till there little heart desires. The best part our the siblings are always aloud to join. This makes my heart so happy to know what his school does for our kiddos and its always something I truly look forward to.
