Birthday's and Milestones

6/24/16

This last month we celebrated my brother-in-laws 40th birthday and my nephew's 10th birthday! My sister put together a really nice BBQ with just our family. We ate good food, swam like fish, and enjoyed some good wine! I am so thankful for my family and always the fun memories and time we spend together....

Last Day of School

I cannot believe that Dylan has already completed his first year of pre-school. I can remember being so nervous in our first IEP meeting with all of the teachers and staff, just thinking to myself and wondering how Dylan will do in school? I really thought long and hard and also thought-is he really ready for school? I was happy with the school we picked, but I started him out just 8:30-11, then we progressed to 8:30-12, and then about 4 months into school he ended up going 8:30-1:30 which is his full school day. Dylan was making such progress and doing so well that he helped me over come my fears of letting him grow up and become a big boy!

As we went into our IEP just a few weeks shy of school being out to go over goals from this year, and goals moving forward into next year I was really happy with how far Dylan had come. Academically Dylan was making leaps and bounds. His speech was coming along, he listening skills were getting better, and his overall growth....well we are just so proud of Dylan! He works so hard at everything he does and Greg and I have no doubt this is just the beginning for Dylan and a bright future ahead of him! Dylan will be attending the same school this next year with the same AMAZING teacher and awesome aides. We are so sad school is over, but really happy to enjoy our summer and do lots of fun things!

Memorial Weekend

When we moved into our house almost 4 years ago, we obviously knew no one,  but in hopes that we picked the right neighborhood where we would have friends, and our kids would meet friends and have lots of fun play dates. Growing up I lived in a neighborhood right next to my grandparents, in a cute little cul-de-sac and everyone in there were my best friends. We had block parties, sleep overs, played everyday and even had the best birthday parties! I always knew I wanted this for my kids one day.

Well in 4 years we have met and gained great friendships with some pretty awesome families, and they have become a huge part of our life and people we really enjoy being around. We have mommy nights, block parties, Friday night cocktail walks, and many more to come! So this Memorial we hosted a little get together with everyone and it was so much fun! We did Mexican (of course requested by my husband) enjoyed the company and sat by the first till almost midnight, talking about life, kids, and lots of fun things we want to do! Hope you all had a fun one, and sorry so late on the post as our life has been pretty crazy!

My Little Gym Girl

5/17/16

With Dylan being in school full-time (which is almost out for summer) Haylee has been pretty bored at home with out her brother. So the past few weeks I have been trying to find a few things that we can do together besides the park and walks around the neighborhood. Haylee is almost 19 months and is a very active little girl. She loves to play and be around other kids. She probably would be ready for school already.  This past week I found a Mommy and me gymnastics class right around the corner from our. house. We went last week and she has a blast. She was so cute in playing with all the other kids, and loved jumping on the trampolines. We also found a music class that we tried, and loved that one too. I am truly so happy to be home now with  both my babies. When Dylan was a baby I did not have that option, but I thank the Lord everyday that we were able to make it work with me being home. But I do miss that outlet just a little bit of the adult world....

Haylee and I have been having so much fun together, but we are both ready for brother to be out of school and enjoy our summer together!

Angel in Heaven

5/5/16

This past weekend we lost an amazing women! Mom, Grandma, Friend, Sister you name it she wore many hats. Greg's Grandma passed away on Sunday from Cancer. Rosemary taught me so much about life. She came into my life 10 years ago when I met Greg. She was always full of life, love and laughter. She did not have a bad bone in her body and was always a ray of sunshine. She always saw the best in people and lived everyday like it was her last. She inspired me in so many ways, but one thing for sure was the true endless love for her family. She loved them, cared for them and would do ANYTHING that she could to make them happy. She gave her whole heart to her kids and grandchildren.I know she is looking down on us everyday now, and she will truly be missed. We love her so much and I thank God everyday for the time that we had with her. Rosemary you sure did live an amazing life and I know every person that came into your life would leave wanting to be your best friend. We love you!

Happy Birtday Daddy

Happiest of Birthdays to this incredible man who I am so lucky to call my husband! Thank you for being my best friend, my soul mate, the greatest dad in the world, the most loving son a mom could ever ask for, a brother who cares so much, a friend who will drop anything when needed, and one heck of a grandson! Your Grandma is looking down on you today with open arms, and knows how great of a man you have become and she loves you so much, and will ALWAYS be so proud of you! Words cannot describe how incredibly thankful I am for your unconditional love, your kindness and most of all the amazing love you have for our babies! Greg I am so blessed to live this life with you and I hope you have the best birthday ever. We love you so much and 36 never looked so good on you....xo

Jog-A-Thon

A few weeks ago Dylan's school put on a jog-a-thon to raise money for the school. They do it every year and this was our first year in doing it and participating with Dylan's class. Daddy could not make it because of work, so my nephew came with us and was the sweetest little boy ever! He helped walking Dylan around to get his laps in. It gave me a glimpse into these two and there future together. They are only 5 months apart. It was a fun day filled with lots of love and appreciation in our community and schools!
